*Written on mobile. Cleaned up the punctuation and fleshed out the rhythm — the ideas are all Tim's.*
I am watching a YouTube video on AI and the impact on culture and people.
Good stuff. Genuinely interesting.
But I can't get past the production.
The slides are doing a lot of heavy lifting. Dense. Thoughtful. The kind of thing you actually want to read. And they keep cutting away from them to show the speaker. Or worse — the back of heads of people in the crowd.
Why?
We don't need to see the audience. We definitely don't need a wide shot of a conference hall every time a new idea lands. Let the slides take up the whole screen. That's where the content is.
Great ideas deserve better than this.
